If more people would like to join in a celebration lunch than we can accommodate in one sitting, we will be offering a second sitting later in the day. This will be a three-course meal with one drink included, tickets £10. Further drinks are available to purchase.  The last date for booking will be Wednesday 13th October at 11 am. We would ask that you pay for your ticket before this date. 

Led by Bishop Christopher. Everyone is welcome; this will be a very popular service, with a number of guests also attending.

The church will be fuller than usual and we respectfully request that those who can please wear a mask, as at all services currently.

The service will begin at 10 am (for approx I hour). Lunch will follow in the parish centre at 12 noon.

1) For those in church, you will be receiving the Sacrament in 'one kind' only. The chalice will not be offered but in receiving the bread of communion (wafers) you are received the sacrament in its entirety. This is important to understand as this is the Church of England's theological understanding and is the instruction that we have been given by our Bishops.

2) For those on Zoom - please continue to take your own bread & wine at home as you have during these last 18 months or so. But please note though - what you take at home is not consecrated bread and wine, there is no consecration of bread and wine 'through the screen!'. As you take your bread and wine at home you will continue to do so in remembrance of Christ as you have been doing so during our Agape services during the pandemic.

Drinks will be available to purchase in the interval and there will be a retiring collection for the Church at the end of the evening.

We invite all children to come along and join in playground games and song from the Victorian days!

A miniature railway will be on display in the Church and there will be free squash and biscuits!

Tea and cake for sale in the hall too!

Come and see the historical journey of St Andrews’ as it has unfolded over the past 150 years.

With photos, documents, and memorabilia; travel the timeline of events, people, and the history of the building as you wander around the church.

Tea and cakes will be available to purchase in the hall during the afternoon.

We are hosting a Fish and Chip Supper (please bring your own drinks and glasses).

Tickets of £7.00 will be available from Margaret in the Parish Office from Monday 20th September.

Please can we remind you that if you have booked tickets, these must be paid for prior to the night as the food will be ordered and paid for in advance.  Also, please note that the fish and chips will arrive with condiments and chip forks, but that we are asking you to PROVIDE YOUR OWN DRINKS AND GLASSES for this event. This allows us to increase the number of seats available, as there will be fewer people moving about the room. 

The entertainment following the supper will take place in the church at approx. 8 pm, ANYONE WHO IS NOT COMING TO THE SUPPER BUT WOULD LIKE TO COME ALONG TO THE ENTERTAINMENT IS WELCOME TO DO SO, there will be a variety of acts (approx. 40 minutes) with the choir singing a few numbers including Gilbert and Sullivan; poetry, singing, musical numbers, and a bit of comedy too!
